School Re-opening Day

The school re-opened onn 17th June, 2019 after a long and relazing vacation with much hope and aspiration.

International Yoga Day

International yoga day was celebrated on 21st June, 2019 with great enthusiasm at St. Joseph School. The students were very excited to perform yoga. Ms. Dhanshree Kulkarni was invited to conduct the yoga session. Ms. Dhanshree Kulkarnii enlightened the students about the importance of yoga in life.

Investiture Ceremony

The investiture ceremony for the academic year 2019 - 2020 was conducted on 27th June, 2019 in a very special and unique way. On this day, the staff and students of St. Joseph School & Junior College, Solapur pledged that they would take care of the plants and water them regularly as this year has been declared as the Year of Ecology by our Bishop Rt. Thomas Dabre.

The solemn ceremony of the induction of the Head Boy, Head Girl, Captains and Vice Captains of the four houses and Sports Captains was conducted.

Felicitation of SSC and HSC Toppers

Our Principal Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha congratulated and felicitated the toppers of SSC and HSC Board Examination for their success and making the school proud.

Farewell of Ms. Caroline Kolamparambil

Our Principal Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha felicitated Ms. Caroline Kolamparambil, the Primary Computer Teacher for her dedicated service in our school.

A talk on healthy life style and food habits

A talk on healthy life style and food habits was given to the students of Std. VII and Std. VIII by Dr. Rohit Taparia and his team.

General Body Meeting

A General Body Meeting was held for the parents of the students of various classes i.e. from LKG to Std. XII.The meeting commenced by welcoming the parents and a short prayer followed by the introduction of the class teachers by the Principal Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha. The new PTA committee was formed through a lucky draw and congratulated all the new members.

Principal Day Celebration

Principal Day was celebrated withh great joy and splendour onn 15th July 2019. The programme commenced with a meaningful prayer service.

Folk Dance Competition

A Folk Dance Competition was conducted for the high school students on 23rd July 2019 in the 2nd and 3rd period in the school hall. It was an inter house singing competition. Students of Std. VIII andn IX participated enthusiastically. It was overall an interesting competition.

Card Making Competition

An Inter Class Card Making Competition was held fo rthe primary and high school students on account of Parents Day. The students had to prepare a Thank You Card for the parents.

Farewell programme for Ms. Avanti Patne

A farewell programme was organised for Ms. Avanti Patne on 2nd August 2019. The programme commenced with a prayer service. One of the members of the staff, Ms. Neelima Paranjape spoke about Ms. Patne. The programme concluded by Father speech.

An All India Inter Schooll Contest

SIP Arithmetic Genius organised an All India Inter School Contest for classes 2nd and 4th on 7th August 2019, Wednesday from 8.30 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. in their respective classes.

Career Guidance Seminar

A Career Guidance Seminar was conducted for the students of Std. XI & XII on 7th August 2019 by Mr. Shailesh Thigale. Information about career opportunities in the field of airlines was told to the students.

Independance Day Celebration

Independance Day was celebrated on 15th August 2019 withh great joy. The programme began with a prayer service followed by flagg hoisting. The chief guest, Ms. Kamal Shah, the founder of Impressona Counselling Centre, hoisted the national flag. She witnessed the march past conducted by the RSP andn NCC Cadets.

Talk on Save Merit Save Nation

A talk was given to the students of Std. IX to Std. XII on Save Merit Save Nation by Dr. Sandip Kulkarni and Dr. Kothadia on 22nd Audust 2019 in the school hall.

Workshop for the students of Std. XI and XII on Internet Addiction

A workshop for the students of Std. XI and XII was arranged on 22nd August 2019. The workshop was on Internet Addiction conducted by Mr. Rameshwar Irabatti. Students participated actively in the various activities conducted for them by the members of Cactus Foundation.

Monument Making Competition

An Inter House Monument Making Competition was conducted fo rthe students of Std. VI to Std. X on 14th August 2019. The students actively and enthustically participated in the competition. They made beautiful monuments such as The India Gate, The Taj Mahal, The Qutab Minar and The Red Fort.

Debate Competition

An Inter House Debate Competition was held for the students of Std. XI and X. The topic for the competition was Are Examinations A Must? the Vivekanand and Tagore house students spoke in favour of and the Nehru and Bose house students spoke against. All the participants spoke confidently. The competition was very interesting.

First PTA meeting of the year 2019 - 2020

First PTA meeting was held on 28th August 2019. Mr. Rajesh Phadkule was elected as the Vice President of the PTA.

Rangoli Competition - Primary Section

An Inter House Rangoli Competition was held for the students of III and IV on 14th August 2019. The theme for the competition was Ecology. The students actively participated in the competition.

Talk on Philately By Mr. Kishore Chandak

A talk of Philately was given to the students of Std. V to VIII by Ms. Kishore Chandak on n4th September 2019. Mr. Kishore sopke on the history of postal stamps. He also showed some clippings and asked questions to the students on it.

An Outreach Programme - Visit to Snehalaya by St. Joseph Family

An outreach programme to Snehalaya which is a sociall charitable trust was planned on the 4th September 2019 from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on account of Teachers Day programme. Snehalaya is an ISO 9001 certified oorganisation whichh focuses on rehabrilitation of children of CSW. The President expressed his desire to have his staff members felicitated on account of Teachers Day by Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha, which was an honour bestowed on our Principal.

Teachers Day Celebration

Teachers Day was celebrated with zeal and zest at St. Joseph School on 5th September 2019. The programme commenced with a special prayer service conducted by Mr. Ravi Birajdar. Some saplings were planted by our Principal Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha, Ms. Rajeshree Joshi and Mr. Sandip Pathak on the occasion.

An Inter Class singing competition was conducted on 13th September 2020 for the classes of I to IV. The participants were well prepared and sang confidently. The students too enjoyed the songs.

Felicitation of Our Principal

One more feather of honour was added in the crwon of achievements and awards of our Principal, Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha.On the occassion of the World Peace Day, the Join for Peace Multipurpose Society of Solapur declared the names of the recipients of the award for maintaining peace and harmony. We are proud that our Principal was selected for the same for his selfless service to the society.

Workshop for the teaching staff

A workshop for the teaching staff was conducted by our Principal Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha on 30th September, 2019 in the school hall. The workshop was on Revision Strategies.

Session on Career Guidance

A Career Guidance session was conducted for the students of Std. IV on 1st October, 2019 by the teachers - Ms. Roma, Ms. Minal and Ms. Darshana.

Childrens Day

Childrens Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. On the 13th November, 2020 games for the students vs staff was held and both the students and staff participated sportively and joyfully making the best of the moment. The games were well organised under the Principal guidance.

The 14th of November dawned with merriment in the air. A grand programme was organised for the students. The programme commenced by a prayer service invoking Gods blessings. The children and the teachers were very happy and enjoyed the programme.

Picnic : SSC Students

A picnic for the students of Std. X was organised from 19th November to 23rd November, 2019 to Mysore and Ooty. It was a wonderful and amazing experience. It was a successful event.

Staff Picnic

The Principal and management of St. Joseph School and Junior College had organised a fun filled and memorable picnic for the teaching and non teaching staff on n27th November, 2019 to 30th November, 2019 to Diveyaghar, Kokan. Overall the picnic was a memorable one. Thanks to our Principal and the picinc committee.

Orientation Programme

An Orientation Programme was conducted for the students of Std. VIII. The programme was organised by the school. Ms. Kamal Shsh, from Impressona Counselling was invited to conduct the session.

An Inter House speech competition was conducted for the students of Std. X on 11th December, 2019.

Pre-Primary Annual Day and Christmas Celebration

The Pre-Primary section Annual Day was held on the 19th December,, 2019. The theme for the same was Year of Ecology - Be My Protector.

Ms. Gloria Chitare was felicitated for completing 25 years of dedicated service.

The Pre-Primary section had their Christmas Celebration also on the 19th December, 2019. The children enjoyed their party.

Christmas Celebration

Christmas Celebration was organised for the students of Std. I to XII on 20th December,, 2019. The programme started with a prayer song, followed by a dance and the tableau and corols. The Principal shared the message of Christmas. He said that Christmas is a season nof selfless giving, love and peace. Children went home with fond memories.

Annual Day Programme - 26th January, 2020

The Annual Day Programme was held on 26th January, 2020 at 7.30 a.m. on the school ground. The theme of the programme was Be Indian. The chief guest Ms. Puspha Dias unfurled the flag.

One of the members of the staff, Ms. Rajshri Joshi, was felicitated on this occassion for her relentless and dedicated service to the institution. She expressed herself and thanked the management and Principal.

Two of our staff members, Mr. Zameer Dandoti and Mr. Raju Dupargude were felicitated at the hands of our Principal, Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha for completing 25 years of relentless service. The programmer concluded with the National Anthem.

Annual Sports Meet

The Annual Sports Meet for the Pre-Primary and Primary section was held on 6th February, 2020. The Chief Guest for the same was Mr. Sameer Bagban. The Bose House won the trophy.

The programme commenced by a short prayer invoking Gods blessings. The Principal, Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha welcomed the guest, Mr. Avinash Gogardhare. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

Session On Career Guidance

A career guidance session for the students of Std. V and VI was conducted by Ms. Steffie Ransing on 24th February, 2020. The information regarding D.Ed., B.Ed., and M.Ed. was shared with the students.

Ms. Santoshi Kamble conducted the same for the students of Std. VII and VIII on the topic Civil Service. The sessions were conducted successfullu.

An Inter Religious Symposium

An Inter Religious Dialogue Symposium was organised on 28th February, 2020 on account of the Bishops visit to Solapur. The theme for the programme was - Year of Differently Abled. Four speakers belonging to different religious were invited to enlighten the audience on what twas written in the Holy scriptures about the differently abled and reaching out to them. The programme commenced with the welcoming of the guest and short meaning ful prayer service and prayer dance. This was followed by a keynote by the Principal. Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha.

The theme was convened by the Bishop of Poona Diocese. Rt. Rv. Thomas Dabre. The students of Mamta Deaf and Dump school performed a dance and a team from Calvary Church sang a song making the programme more meaningful. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

The Investiture Ceremony and SSC / HSC Farewell

The programme began with a prayer service asking God to shower his blessings on the newly appointed office bearers. The solemn ceremony of the induction of the new Head Boy ( Master Leo Balamuthu ) and the new Head Girl ( Miss Jiya Talpalikar ) was conducted. A farewell programme was conducted for the students of Std. X and XII. The programme concluded by a PowerPoint presentation presented by Ms. Padma Narwate. It was a message conveyed to the students by the schooll as they venture into a new world and wishing them alll the best for their future.

International Womens Day

Womens Day was celebrated on 8th March, 2020 onn the occassion of Womens Day. Women teachers were felicitated at the hands of the Principal Rev. Fr. Godvyn Saldanha on the occassion.
